Drawing plays a big role in our cognitive development. It can help us learn to write and think creatively, develop hand-eye co-ordination, hone analytic skills and coceptualise ideas.
In this class, students will combine crayons and watercolor in two different ways in order to create background space and foreground space for their art. Class Layout: We will briefly discuss backgrounds and foregrounds in art. We will briefly discuss symmetry and asymmetry in art. We will create a background using watercolor and a foreground using crayon. We will create a background using crayon and a foreground using watercolor. This class will be fun and students will be encouraged to talk and ask questions about the activity. We will talk about color, composition, creativity, and also the proper use of materials and clean up.
The class will be step by step allowing time for each learner to create their piece and be proud of what they create. No experience is needed, but some parental help could be needed if the student is younger. Please look at the supplies list for everything needed.
