In this one time class, we will learn to draw from direction and imagination, improve colouring skills and create a Christmas Santa! In this one-time class, students will follow step-by-step directions to draw Santa Claus.
We will talk about the idea that when we’re learning a new skill, it takes practice before that skill becomes easier to do. I will explain to students that learning to draw is one of those skills that takes a lot of practice. When we draw one step at a time, however, it is easier for our brains to learn. I will guide students to draw Santa Claus using step-by-step directions. We will begin by drawing the face and progress to drawing the whole body.
In this one time class, students will be learning to draw a Christmas Santa on paper! Then we will use crayon/oil pastel paints to create a bright and cheerful painting in the colors of their choice. Drawing and painting techniques will be taught throughout the lesson so learners can practice the skill right away. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Learners will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. Please upload their finished work to the classroom after it dries to share with me and their art friends. We would love to see it!
