Once Upon A Time To Happily Ever After, let’s have fun together in watching the story of “Momotaro, Peach Boy”. Let’s peek inside Momotaro’s life and enjoy watching how he gets successful in getting the treasure back from the Big Monster. The story will be narrated through proper set.
Students will practice reading out loud to improve their expression, intonation, enunciation, and voice. They will learn to read and speak clearly with good fluency. We will practice choosing when to take pauses and breaths when to pause for dramatic effect or to let the audience think about what was just read. We will practice reading with fluency and cover pronunciation and definitions as needed. The students will be reading from material presented in class. I will read some from the text to lead by example, then the students will have turns reading. We will each get to read multiple times, to give time for comments, compliments, reflection, and practice. Much of the time, we will only read a short passage from the chosen book, as we will be reading the passage multiple times.
Students may turn off their camera if they are feeling particularly shy, however, it is discouraged, because we can "hear" a lot by watching facial expressions. Body language and visual cues tell a large part of the story.
