Learn At-Your-Pace Beginner’s Ukulele Class (Age 6-13 years)

Multi-day class

This is an ongoing monthly subscription for ukulele lessons. Any age is appropriate for these lessons. Students will work on basic ukulele skills including string names, finger numbers, basic notes and chords, basic strumming patterns, and will learn some beginner pieces to play!

How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

 

The teacher will guide the students in learning the first steps of how to play the ukulele! Students will work on learning string names, recognizing note names, being fluent in “the music alphabet”, learning which fret and finger is which, and playing Simple melodies and chords. Students will learn some easy songs to play!

Here are some concepts we may cover in the session -

  • ukulele basics 
  • chord shapes 
  • strumming patterns 
  • rhythm 
  • picking individual notes and scales 
  • dynamics 
  • practicing or learning a particular song of the student's choice or a song that matches the student's experience level.

About Me

I am Atanu Dutta. I have been learning and teaching music for almost 15 years. I used u play Guitar in my early age. I did a lot of shows with various artists and bands. I have passed grade 8 from Trinity college London with distinction marks. Thereafter I started playing western classical piano n keyboard. I have learned various types genre in music like Rock, western classical, jazz, blues. Now I am doing grade 8 piano. Teaching is not just a profession for me. It is my passion, I love to share my knowledge.
