How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Song Course Sample: Million Dreams This asynchronous class is a perfect fit for learning music because each student can take their own unique amount of time to practice and master the material and still always have the assistance of the teacher through the classroom chat or video submission. Students have access to the instructor when the lesson is too confusing or boring. Students can also create interactive Kahoot.com review quizzes or play the ones provided by the teacher. Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other students on video submissions and jam together on the provided assignments, and can also participate in a final video mashup performance of the skills from the class. Students will also be able to discuss their individual questions with the class and teacher during the mid-week office hours. For students who cannot make it to the office hours, they can submit their questions in advance and will be provided the links to the recordings. Mid-week announcements and assignments will be provided to supplement the prerecorded content, as each class has individual needs.
