How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Description

Class Experience

In this on-going beginner class, students will have weekly one-one-one lessons with teacher Aakash. Each lesson will be tailor-made, catering towards the student's level of experience. In the first lesson, the teacher will assess the student's skill level in order to determine what material is best suited for the student. Then, depending on the student's level, the student will have the opportunity to strengthen their piano skills as they are given various material to learn. All material will be taught at a pace that is most comfortable to the student. In the first 5 minutes of each lesson, the student will have an opportunity to play or review songs that they have previously learned. Then the teacher and student will work on new material together. During the last 5 minutes of the class, the student will review what was taught in the lesson. Students will occasionally be given weekly homework to practice in order to continue growing in their piano skills in between each lesson. No previous piano experience is needed for this class. The only materials students will need for this class will be access to a keyboard or piano, a device with internet & a webcam (iphone, tablet, or laptop), and a pair of headphones.
