Class Experience

Lets Sing & Learn Guitar!

Learning happens when students enjoy the process of learning. During these classes we will get more familiar with this course, we will sing and learn how to play the instrument: Guitar.

As a part of this class, I will share with my student's variety of books written by great musicians in the western world. On the instrument, we would like to start from the basics by doing some finger exercises, knowledge of scales, and chords. and then learn the song. This process will have the students learn deeper about the study of music. 

 Level 2 ( Western Classical Music )
Instrument – Guitar 
Week 1– How to build a scale and chords?
-    Formula for building a scale 
-    Formula for building a chord ( major & minor ) 

Week 2– Technical names of the notes of a scales :
-    Introduction to Tonic, subdominant, Dominant & relative minor of the scale
-    Meaning of these terms 
-    How to apply these terms to a song?

 
Week 3– Introduction to Dominant 7th & Major 7th  Chords :
-     What is dom7th & maj7th chords?
-    How to build dom7th & maj7th chords? 
-    How does it work on a scale? 


Week 4– Introduction to Tablature form :
-    What is tablature? 
-    How to write a song in the form of tablature? 
-    How to impose the concept of tablature on the instrument?
