How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

This ongoing course provides a great review for the grade 9-11 chemistry curiculum We will start from introducing atom structure, elements, compounds, ions, isotopes, valence electrons, naming compounds, types of bonds.

We will have a brief look on types of reactions, law of mass conservations, balancing and predicting chemical reactions. Next, I will teach moles/mass/molecular mass/Avogadro number concepts, calculating ratio and molar/mass relation in chemical reactions. Students will be provided with practice questions and homework activities to facilitate learning process. Students will have an opportunity to present their work. Students are encouraged to share their answers and participate in discussions. Middle and high school students interested in science or willing to improve their knowledge are encouraged to sign up for this course
