Chinese Mandarin Course: Level 1 (Age 6-12 years) (International Time Zone)

In this 4 week course, students will cover nouns, pronouns, numbers also will be taught to write numbers in Chinese characters (including grammar). Learners will learn how to do greetings, self-introductions in Chinese Mandarin by the end of the section.

How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

This class is designed for the students who want to learn use/practice Mandarin Chinese. Learners will learn how to do greetings, self-introductions in Chinese Mandarin by the end of the section. They will also learn how to count in chinese.  In this ongoing course they will build vocabulary, practice conversation, and improve reading comprehension in Chinese.

In this course students will learn the simple Chinese nouns, verbs, adjective etc. which will help them to frame simple sentences. More focus will be given on spoken Chinese (putonghua). Children will also learn Chinese pinyin i.e. romanization of Chinese characters, that will assist them in reading. We will also teach you Chinese Character writing. Overall class will be full of Fun and enjoyment.

In these 3 weeks, You will learn:
-Simple Chinese greetings such as Hello, Hi; How are You?; I am fine. etc.
-Family member names: father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister etc.
-Verbs,
-Chinese Numbers.
-Names of 10 countries or more.

The focus is on speaking fluency, conversation, and interactive discussion. In class, we will discuss and check for reading comprehension. 

As this class requires student output, learners must be able to have simple conversations. Learners will be encouraged to speak as much as Chinese as possible - I can help to translate some words if necessary.

This is a beginners' course for kids with no Mandarin experience.
