This course is only intended for students that have completed the Intro 1 and Intro 2 course. We will spend 8 weeks diving into common Japanese verbs and vocabulary that will broaden students' ability to express themselves.

How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

Learning a foreign language is all about interaction!! There will be interactive class activities for informal assessments. Pair activities/assignments are designed to develop each student's 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. If you are a home school student who is looking for a formal assignment grades, I will be happy to work with you (but I need to know what is expected).

Students will learn the basics of the Japanese language and Vocabulary.

What will be taught?

  1. Introduction with greetings..
  2. Numbers in next month
  3. Hirangana start writing Japanese from this month onwards..
  4. Frame sentences

We will meet in zoom for 30 minutes once a week. The first meeting of the week will be conducted with expectations of students having studied the vocabulary, so we can practice the applications of the newly introduced material. Second meeting will be conducted with more in-depth application of the new material and speaking practice with classmates or with myself (depending on the number of enrollment).

Students will learn to comprehend written, audio, audiovisual, and visual text. Students will be able to make interdisciplinary and cultural connections. Students will be able to communicate interpersonally by speaking with others. Students will be able to communicate interpersonally by writing to others. Students will be able to communicate through spoken presentations. Students will be able to communicate through written presentations.

As for any language, review is absolutely necessary. In all of my Japanese classes, we use the classroom as an important learning resource.
