How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Description

Class Experience

Join in a weekly gathering on video chat where we will learn the basics of the Indian government and the role of the citizen within it. Students will have the chance to quiz themselves on their knowledge, play learning games, and reflect a bit on their own role as a citizen of India. Each class provides information through images, videos, and short readings, and provides time for group discussion. Students will then spend some time reinforcing the shared information through interactive learning activities. Finally, I'll provide a Kahoot! quiz for classes 2-4 as a review tool.We will finish with discussion and sharing of examples of good citizens.

We will dicuss following topics in details in these classes

1: Foundations and The Constitution: the who and why that started it all. What were the writers of The Constitution thinking?
 2: Branches of Government
3: State & Local Government: how does government on state and local levels fit within the national structure? How are they organized?
4: Citizenship Rights & Responsibilities: what is your role--a chance to do some exploration and reflection.
