How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

This ongoing class teaches you Shotokan Karate. Each session will start with a basic warm up and stretch and then move onto various topics listed below: Over the weeks children will learn: basic punches, strikes, blocks, stances and kicks We will also cover various topics such as kata (forms), breakfalls, kumite (sparring drills) and various self defence techniques. My teaching style will be very upbeat and fairly fast paced due to the age range and the time span of the session. I will keep the session very interactive allowing the child to react and respond over the screen, almost like we are sparring. I will also give the children challenges to attempt such as trying to remember certain sequences or try to be the fastest student in the group. No experience needed but someone with previous experience is more than welcome.
