How does a Multi-Day Course work?

A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Description

Class Experience

This class will introduce the single phonetic sounds in the English alphabet. Students will learn letter sounds through demonstration using a visual slide presentation, teacher instruction, letter tracing, exploring words they know and playful interactions. Student will learn single consonant sounds including the hard and soft "C" and "G" sounds. They will also learn the long and short vowel sounds. Students will practice by repetition, writing and choosing their own words to practice the sounds they hear.
