A Multi-Day Course meets multiple times over one or more weeks. Learners join the teacher in live video chat sessions at scheduled times. Outside of these sessions, they can take part in a classroom discussion group and message the teacher directly. Longer courses create more opportunities: real-time activities, engaging projects, and interaction with diverse classmates from other states and countries.

Class Experience

Students will learn the basics of writing formal and informal letters through the activity of writing letters.

In letters:
I will cover both formal and informal letters (each 3)

In this class we will learn the basic formats for letter writing. We will specifically go over what is involved when writing a formal letter and how that differs from when we write informal letters. Our informal letters will be modeled after friendly letters designed to keep in touch with friends and relatives. We will close our time together with a discussion of the differences in the two activities. Any conversations or statements to the contrary will be deflected with a suggestion that everyone is entitled to decide for themselves whether or not they believe, but that either way writing letters can be a fun activity.
